The 450 Super Singles debut at Laguna Seca led by Kevin Schwantz on Matsushima's RM 450!

The final 'Proof of Concept' came after six months of work, when the three original 450's joined the 450 Suzuki in the paddock ending up with a few 'demo' laps at midday. A change from the vanilla classes from the spectators perspective, they added a new degree of bright graphics in manufacturer colors, bright numbers and the distinctive sound of the staccato bark of a 12,000 rpm single!
The verdict was lots of interest and rider notes that quantified the class viability. In raw and untuned form, "Yes, they actually handle, turn and brake just as a road racer should, just a blast to ride." Added Kevin Schwantz, "Properly set up, tweaked and a 60 bhp lump, just a great way to start racing, I can't wait for the '08 version!". Left to right, Elena Myer, Roand Sands, Mark Cernike & Kevin Schwantz.

F-Kevin Schwantz.
If it wasn't for Rainey severing
his spine Schwantz would NEVER
had won his world title. After
that year what did Schwantz ever
acheive? He is a big, overrated
pussy!

So I'm in. Went out and bought an '07 YZ450F. So how about some details on how the bikes were built. How did you get the clearance for a 5.5" R6 rear wheel from the chain? What Yamaha R6 front end will bolt on easily to a YZ450F? Who fabbed the rear sets? Anything Gavin Trippe or Roland can offer here in the way of details would be appreciated.
Thanks
